Lake District Stream

By gregl
Thank you all for your comments and support for my 1891 House image. Really appreciated!

This upload is clearly much more rural and a landscape from a weekend trip I made to the Lake District earlier this year. Trying to get composition, fg, exposure and lighting etc to all work properly in the same image so any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Greg

The f/g rocks and water look OK Greg - the upper third looks very bright. I think you needed 2 shots at different exposures blended here. Or used a couple of different exposures on this single image in RAW then blended them together to get a better balance.

Thank you all so much for your comments. Good point Brian - easy enough to re process with a different exposure on the bright bits and then blend them together. Thanks...

Hi Greg, excellent composition and certainly some good advise offered and V2 a much improved image, with harsh light scenes try multiple exposures values and merge in your favourite software, nitpicking here, but, maybe cloning out the twigs lh side to remove that distraction would improve the image further.

I really appreciate and value all of your comments. They certainly are a great help to me. I will make another pass Mal and remove the twigs on the left. Wasn't sure if it was better to leave them in to provide a sense of depth or not. Easy to take them out and we will see!!
