Thanks for the coments guys.
It is interesting to note thet the central panel showing the Madonna and child above the coat of arms dates from about 1280!
The picture was taken in the Church of St Martin in Bowness - on - Windermere, Cumbria UK.
The east window that features this pictured section was installed circa 1530 using some pieces from earlier churches.

If the UK featured on any of your future travel plans the Lake District is well worth a couple of days for a visit

Yes it's heading towards Galgate, there were some markers along the canal this may have been around no.7 or 8.

It was one of those run for the camera moments & I used an old Tamron SP CF 70-210mm Tele Macro on my NX10 set at f/3.5 1/100 iso100.
