The low point of view really allows one to fully appreciate the menacing beauty of this Little Killer. Superb clarity in the main subject, whilst the uncluttered backdrop allows one to enjoy this little fella even more without unnecessary clutter or distraction.

A big thank you to Sylvia, David, Richard and Chris for their User Awards, chuffed to bits...thank you muchly Grin

Peter, you are correct, this is the UK's only poisonous snake. It's venom is of little danger to healthy adults but used to lethal effect on small mammals. It's effects can be somewhat uncomfortable to humans as I understand...!!!

Thanks go to Janet, David, Terry and Kathryn for their valued User awards...feeling spoilt Wink

Your Editors Choice was a pleasant surprise Pete - thank you Grin

That dog of yours is living very dangerously Janet Wink

Ron - I went out with a professional who was carrying out research work on the Adders - we found quite a few and this one was placed to get ID markings so members of the colony can be recorded and monitored. I wouldn't want to be messing around with these beautiful creatures on my own!!!

Janet - George, the guide I went out with was called into a neighbours whose cat had attacked an Adder - the cat went off to the vets in a bit of a sorry state - don't yet know if the badly mauled Adder survived...keeping my fingers crossed your dog doesn't end up the same way as that cat...!!!
