Spore release...

By Greyheron
This is a 4K jpeg pull from the GX8 @ 30frames a second. Terry and I have been discussing ways of photographing the spore release of Puffballs for quite a while...the idea works Terry - takes a bit of getting used to though Wink I'm sure this session of images can be improved on - will keep on trying, but for now...

My grateful thanks to Geraint, Lin, Jason, Jenn, Sylvia and Brian for their very generous User Awards on my last image - appreciated guys Smile

Amazing work, Mike accompanied by a really interesting description of how this was achieved. I am full of admiration Smile On Gardeners' World the other day a similar shot was shown as a movie clip - a tomato flower being coaxed to release it's pollen, with the help of an electric toothrush which simulates the fast fluttering of an insect's wings! Isn't nature wonderful! Many congratulations on your HC and other Awards Smile
