Love the wayyou've done this, had to keep looking as I tought it was b & w but its not quite (the tones in the steps) so that adds another level. Bet those balconies have 'great views' Hope you've enjoyed your summer, doesn't 6 weeeks go quickly? jane

Really nicely done Gwyn. Have lots of shots similar to this alleyway (but not as good as yours). May have to try something like this (if you don't mind). Nat :o)

Nice work, nice image, I like it, very effective, well seen and captured. The passageway leads the eye so well up to the door. May have been worth correcting the convergence seen in the verticals on the right, gives a slight impression of a lean to one side.

Have always been a sucker for step shots. Look for them all the time. Nice control of exposure here as well Gwyn. Although you have what appears to be selective colour, is it actually a colour photo, as I see some colour at the bottom of the steps in the sunshine?

Excellent work and great DoF.

Brilliant shot, Gwyn. Not only the green door as a focal point, but the contrast of light and shade works really well (with the light on the door itself). Well observed, well composed - excellent.
