Well seen. The pristine chain is a nice contrast, and I love the shadow of course! Smile

Great shot with lovely light and shadow.
I wonder how long it will take the chain to change colour.

You are usual Mick, a rather pristine looking chain
but that shadow from the little yellow ball up there has give a lovely shadow for you
(must have escaped from down here that yellow thing!)
added to the small amount of rust a fine looking image
Was with Lynne Joyce yesterday in Portsmouth, poor thing was photographing ''rust''!!
before she even left for Spain!...for Mick she says

An extremely strong and very cleverly composed image Mick, which in itself lends its self to much debate.

That chain looks like it needs to be in good nick judging by the strain on it !! although the terminations look kind of suspect.. Great shadows right enough and another classic find

The shadow is superb, Mick, as is the general composition. If you had delayed uploading for another seven minutes this would have been the very first ever contribution to Shadow Saturday!!!!
But since Saturday is the day most people will view it I reckon we can allow you the status of Number One (again!!!)

Super photo - and it won't be long before the chain is no longer pristine!

Might be a clean bit of chain Mick but the shot is firmly anchored by the rusty old ring. Love the shadow.

Joline saw what I saw, Mick.
And the rusty little weight-lifter is trying out a stunt or some kind of record, seeing how long he can hang onto a chained boat with his head, and pumping iron at the same time.

Mick - owners of Chelsea tractors use cans of spray-on mud to give the impression that they have been about inventing cans of spray-on rust for the 'too pristine and shiny' occasions?.

I am intrigue about what is on the other end of that chain, though...

Nicely shot Mick. The harsh light itself has become the subject & has really helped this image. For me, it's as much about the shadow as the chain.
Well seen.
