This photograph depicting a sun ripened wheat field, with heavy skies tumbling across the land, was captured yesterday when we set out to look at our new home in Lower Stoke on the Isle of Grain.
Please feel to comment whether good or bad.
Perfectly composed and captured, Nathan, I do hope the farmer managed to gather his wonderful crop before the heavens opened Carol
Wonderful contrast between the golden wheat and brooding sky, and some useful height given to the composition by the hedgebank on the right. Very nicely done, excellent moody image.
Fantastic image Nathan, great composition, very well done.
Nice one Nathan that sky looks ominous !! Took a few last week in barley / wheat fields , not sure which, but they still were a wee bit green , and they had my Sunday afternoon lady in them
I agree with above, I would have taken out a lot of the blue from the sky though.
Excellent composition Nathan, super image,
Moving house then ?
Great perspective and excellent natural colours Nathan together with a moody sky, have made for a wonderful image ... Carol
Moving house Nathan as you know I have just done for the second time in 6 months I wish you well and stress free .......good comp nice lead in like it.
Perfection Nathan, superb contrast, and love that line taking us off to the right. Excellent composition.
Like your comp and the moody sky in this Nathan
Great composition Nathan, the contrast between that heavy, grey sky and the warm sunlight corn is perfect. I too like the sense of perspective given by the hedgerow on the right... all round a top notch image.
A field ready for harvest lined by wild flowers and poppies, low warm light, a threatening downpour and a fine composition..........everything needed for a superb image which you have presented here, Nathan.
Stunning composed capture with awesome tones throughout Nathan. Glad you included a map as I did not have a clue where this place was.
You see Nathan all storms pass. this has a fantastic point of view with beautiful texture.
Well done. WesternRed.
The composition is tremendously effective. The two principal leading lines meet at pretty much the darkest area of the storm cloud. Lovely light on the foreground which you have used well.
A pleasure to look at.
There's a real ominous feeling in that sky. I think the colour of the barley and hedge row make the oncoming storm cloud more striking! Great Photo!
Wow, hope you did not get caught in that storm Nathan. What a great sky, and very nicely composed shot. Moira
Superb composition - perfect colours - great lighting - love it - Elizabethxx
love your composition here Nathan great f/g detail in the wheat and fine colours and tones in the set aside land all set off by the ominous sky fine work a pleasure to view....home all goes well with the new home and for a stress free move
As said above...perfect composition and light, and a great atmosphere created here.
It's said moving house is one of the most stressful things to do - I hope everything goes well for you and wish you all the best of luck in your new home.
That is one nasty sky but it brings out the beautiful colour in the rest of the image which is composed so well.
I hope the move goes smoothly and that you will be happy in your new home.
Woow, what a powerful sky!!!!!! Like it a lot!!!!!!! Hope you didn't get wet!!!!!!!! Good luck in your new pad, Nathan!!!!!!!! Ania
Very dramatic and atmospheric landscape, Nathan. Deep
Ah, now it will begin to pour!!! I have not seen such an amazing sky for a very long time!
Lovely comp in app light.
Our sky at the moment is a bit like that Nathan! not quite so blue but black and grey mixed in, red sky this morning so shepherds beware lol., the Isle of Grain gets plenty of rain so much so it is a pain lol. best I could do at short notice lol. Great atmosphere in this photo, love the deep blue broodingly good, you leave it as it is, great shot, regards Leon.
I know that look in the sky Nathan and it's time to run away, a very striking shot before the storm with great colours, and it's a wonderful composition.
A threatening sky right enough Nathan.
The quiet before the storm perhaps !!
Great image with spot on composition. The storm looks like it was gonna be an angry one though!
A superb composition Nathan aided and abetted by that wonderful sky.
Splendid composition Nathan and I love the detail and colour of the foreground wild flowers

A very dark and foreboding sky in this atmospheric arable landscape, i hope you managed to get undercover before the heavens opened! I'm glad you included the map too as I thought you were moving to one of the remote Scottish Islands!
Lovely landscape and a well captured storm. Elaine
