Higger Tor

By h4rsx
I popped down to Higger Tor last Saturday morning and had a couple of shots in mind, this not being one of them. It about 7.20am when I arrived and the layby was already packed with cars.

Unfortunately both of the spots I had in mind were already taken with photographers, so I had to settle on this well photographed spot, looking out towards Carl Wark and Burbage Edge.

The sunrise kind of happened, but the sun was mostly obscured by cloud/fog and this was as good as it got. Shortly after the whole place was engulfed with fog.

Looks good to me, sometimes you just have to be grateful for what comes along.

At least you got light, I was there last week and couldn't see the top of Higger from the car park for low cloud! Sad

Very nicely done - not easy photographing straight into the sun like this.

Might not be what you had in mind, but works nicely all the same.

Some lovely light there Harsh. The sun is moving back into a useful position again from Higger.
