Like the light through the trees and the detail of the roots from the tree.

Great shot...almost a 'Lord of the Rings' fantasy feel to it.

Makes me think I should dig out my shots from Golitha and maybe upload some!

Thank you all for your positive comments and support, it's very much appreciated.

The reason I posted this as a honest opinion etc was I thought this a good shot, biased I know, but a judge slated it last night in a competition at a club in Plymouth, saying about the light was bad the shot was dark, starburst in the sky was annoying and so the list went on.. so I thought I would share it with people who know what there talking about and appreciate nice pictures.
SO THANK YOU ALL, ONCE AGAIN

Photographs are very subjective. What one person will like others will not. If there is one thing I have learnt from my photography course it is just that! (Or even uploading to this site lolol) Stick 10 people in a forest and most will want to take away different memories, angles and captures. If you wanted starburst you got it and did well.......... others will argue it distracts the eye away from the tree in the foreground or takes the eye away from leading through the rest of the shot....... maybe you wanted it to be darker and more atmospheric while the "judge" wanted to see more light and detail. I am totally not an expert but this is my opinion :o)
