Hey Andy,
You have got me jealous seeing what kit you were using! I am looking to get the D3 and have been considering the 17 - 35 mm lens as it seems to be the widest lens that you can fit filters to. Is that what you found? Also, how are you finding the combination of the two...good?
As for the image, I like the composition with the nice lead through to the setting sun. Mark mentioned the Haloing around the image which I am assuming was caused during PP? But also, your horizon is slanting away which is a bit distracting.
