Just back from a week away on a friend's boat travelling down the Caledonian Canal, over to the Isle of Mull, then back down the Sound of Mull and across the Crinan Canal to Tarbert on Loch Fyne.

Had a totally brilliant break, with the exception of the journey from Tobermory to Tarbert in a Force 7 gale. Amazingly, we both managed to keep our breakfast down, but it was a bit scary at times.

I'd always wanted to go to Tobermory so thought I would make that my first upload.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my last upload and special thanks to Peter (ddolfelin) for your User Award.

What a fine journey to have made with so many photo opportunities: the front at Tobermory with it's coloured facades always makes for a grand shot, and here with the colours nicely reflected.

Sounds like you had a great week, Sue Smile Have visited Mull several years ago, but didn't get up to Tobermory. A lovely shot, with the colours nicely reflected in the water Wink

What a great week you've had, with some excitement thrown in with the gale. This is a lovely scene from your stop.
