Just back from a week away on a friend's boat travelling down the Caledonian Canal, over to the Isle of Mull, then back down the Sound of Mull and across the Crinan Canal to Tarbert on Loch Fyne.

Had a totally brilliant break, with the exception of the journey from Tobermory to Tarbert in a Force 7 gale. Amazingly, we both managed to keep our breakfast down, but it was a bit scary at times.

I'd always wanted to go to Tobermory so thought I would make that my first upload.

What a fine journey to have made with so many photo opportunities: the front at Tobermory with it's coloured facades always makes for a grand shot, and here with the colours nicely reflected.
