Ok, so another attempt at a self portrait..in total opposite of the last ones I did ..although this is minimal retouch too..
If sultry was your goal, you were successful. I think self portraits are not easy.
The lighting has worked well and your eyes are brilliantly sharp. I think cropping your head at that height is a bit unusual and slightly jarring; that may have been the effect you wanted but usually for a more satisfying effect you skiff just the top of the head or leave some clearance. There are some very good online guides to posing and framing models:
...and some good You Tube videos too. Similarly if you want a less flat lighting effect the same resource centres have lots of advice which you may find interesting given the great start you are making here!
My guess is, given your modeling experience, the crop was not an accident, rather an aesthetic choice.
Have a good New Years.
Looks good very Blondie but nothing wrong with that

agree looks right out of that type of era
Happy New Year
great shot, super crop it makes the eye go straight to your face. smashing lighting. just one small point the mark on the wall at eye level is a bit off putting. still a great start to the new year.
Whoops, just looked at Syren's portfolio and realised my comment is trying to teach an expert how to suck eggs!
Still looking good there lady.
I like the crop at the top, but am less sure about the hand outside the frame...
Such a different look from your daughter - though I suspect that a good part of this is the makeup and presentation.
And, by the way - wow! So stylish, sultry/sexy. I may never get round to trying a serious self-portrait, given how much less promising my equipment is!
