Bee in the Garden

By handlerstudio
I was shooting with my old (OM-2) 50 mm macro on my OM-D M5 when I saw this bee and waited until I could get it in a view I wanted, shooting here from about 9" away.

You would have been better with a much lower shutter speed and much smaller aperture. Sharpness is everything in macro, and you needed some depth of field and a critically sharp focus. This is a touch soft and needs a bit more light on the insects body to lift the detail.
