Scenes from New York City

By handlerstudio
Between Boxing Day (celebrated by my Aunt--big party, for which I cook a turkey on the Weber grill) and New Years, my wife Karen and I went to visit my 90 year old mother in Northern New Jersey, and during the days,we mostly went into New York....one day we went to the Met (the Metropolitan Museum of Art), one the Museum of Natural History, and visited with friends. First day in, before going in to the Met, we stopped for lunch, and sat next to this small mural, of paint, and some other 3D material.

Kind of nicely done, but there is a mistake, which I noticed right away, in it. Can anyone spot it? Check out V2.

And thanks for comments, my back is all better today. I think I had just slept wrong the night before.

Peter

It's about the boat with the blue sails-- seems he has different wind?

Aw, that was too easy......Maybe I should have said nothing, and waited to see if people caught it.

Good eye, Jenn.

Yes, the spinnakers are blowing in opposite directions - an immediate give-away that the painter is not a sailor !!
Love the images and the narrative, Peter & pleased to hear you are back to full fitness.

Yes I noticed the middle boat has it’s spinnaker blowing the wrong way.
I am not a sailor but a keen watcher of the America’s cup in the past.
It’s a lovely painting Peter, very striking and unusual.
Good one…...WinkWinkWink

A bit too easy. But my sailor friends well say it can be. Can't remember the technical terminology. Interesting shots Peter.

I think the mistake is Peter,
the blonde in the boat is not the guys wife.
It is his secretary !!
