The Approach of Sunset on the Corsica River

By handlerstudio
As we motor up the Corsica with my longtime sailing buddy Dan at the helm, we look for an anchorage for the night. There is no wind, no storms coming; a protected anchorage is not an issue. Some in the crew suggest a spot called Jacob's Nose.....I think because of the name. We decide not to pick Jacob's Nose, not to go that far up the river. I am on the anchor, and Dan chooses our spot. We anchor on the north side of the river, and then realize that we cannot see far down the river, and that with a spectacular sunset in the offing, we lift anchor and cross to the south side.

With the clouds we had all day, and into the evening, this sunset lasted quite a while, so I will draw out the photos as well, and put them up over, maybe, three days. Here is the approach of sunset. I will admit that I put my camera into "sunset mode" for this anticipated event.

V1 is my favourite, love the cloud reflections and the glimmer in the water. Of the sunrise ones I think V3. A lovely set of your relaxing day.

Beautiful pictures. V4 for me because it has no boat in the way. Something has beautiful as this doesn't need 'context'. Really gorgeous.
