We went to the Met...one of my favorite museums. In an afternoon, it is hard to see more that two or three galleries. On our way to one, we passed these figures....they were hard to resist. What faces! What bodies! And the last, maybe this should be an adult entry.

You decide. It is in this great art museum, and no X by it.

Peter

It is hard to decide. In India we have "Happy man" of similar stature with a big smile on its face, which is considered as a lucky mascot.

I do like V1 and V4. Perhaps I may suggest in V4 that the horizon could have been leveled before uploading. But nice images none the less.

I do not believe that a level horizon was much in the mind of any concerned in producing V4!

Culturally, it's amazing that one religion has made temple art of this sort of thing: others, generally, seem to discourage it!

Excellent captures Peter. Worse things on TV these days. At least its art. Grin Peter.

This is a wonderful presentation of these fine sculptures. Crystal clear details on each of them.
As for V4 BlushBlushBlushBlushBlushBlush Reminds me of some of the ones I got to see in India! Certain ancient Civilisations didn't have the sex tabus we have today... IB

I thought you had called it Winter in New York because the winter makes you feel like the guy in V1 looks!!! V4 reminds me of a temple I saw in India - it's covered with images like that, and you don't know where to look!!!
Nice set.
