I'll be honest, and say that while Beetles have cult appeal, for me it was utterly outclassed in every way when the Morris minor arrived... Not sold as worldwide, but quieter, roomier, and with far better road manners.
But it's seen as a car for maiden aunts and English district nurses.
Beautiful to look at, but I'll opt out of travelling in one, those VWs...

I agree with Dudler over the Morris Minor. It was my first car but had so much plastic filler to repair the rusted bodywork that the negative pole of the battery didn't earth properly so I had to get a piece of copper wire, put a crocodile clip on either end and strech it under the car to clip onto somewhere where the chassis was actually metal. Well pre MOT of course.
This is a handsome car however and you didn't have to lift your leg right in in one go.

Down to the politics, I would think that Trump, as all the dictators, he couldn't achieve anything without his supporters, so this is a "delicate" situation.

Another fine looking car, I love the shape and they just seem to go forever. Never owned one but always wanted one. Drove a Lada for many years.
