Lookout

By Potra
Thanks so much for your warm and encouraging words about the situation here. I took this picture approximately an hour and a half before the shooting began. He was giving notice of the movements of the groups of motorcyclists that started harassing the peaceful protesters minutes before I decided to go home.
I am sure I have a guardian angel.

He is making the gesture of "motorcycles" then he did the gesture of "police" and the gesture "gone".

An excellent image -- but even more impressive is how you are using your photography as an instrument of change for the better.
Please stay safe.

Your talent for photo-journalism is evident here, as well as yesterday (and many others in your portfolio). And, that dan be a dangerous vocation. This is a great image--and a dangerous one.

So, keep it up, keeps letting us know what is happening, and take care of yourself, Marian.

Thank you Peter for choosing of this image to receive you UA. I am honored and glad it has reached to your intellect as well your sensitivity.

I am recharging the batteries now, let's see if I gather strength to go out and take more pictures. The few news outlets we have left (the online newspapers, FB and Twitter) are reporting that the students detained on Wednesday were tortured with electricity.

A great photojournalistic image. Very strong eye contact which really makes the viewer take note.
Yes it's dangerous but the great photojournalists were often in such situations. At least for you there you are the local and know what's what. Keep safe, as the world needs to be kept informed.
Torture does no regime any good in the end.
