Hornby Island Artichoke

Still on Hornby Island in the Inner Passage between Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia. I had never seen artichokes growing before. They had several varieties. Though they do not really look like it much, they are, of course, flowers.

I ate this at ITHACA , but did not liked it, neither the Brussels sprouts . May be we have a lots of alternative vegetables in India.

Quite astonishing to see one growing, it is a beautiful flower!

I am with Prabas-- no brussel sprouts!
Some people say never to eat miniature vegetables. Brussels sprouts seem to lead the way. Though, of course, there is always that scene from Tom Hanks' movie Big, where he tries to eat miniature corn........
