Very moody shot. Great exposure and I love the light on the water.

Sorry, but this doesn't work for me. Its so heavily retouched it has lost its realism and become almost a painting. Looks like its been overdone with Portrait Professional.

I had to look at this for a while but I do sort of get it I do think the eye is distracted from looking through the window at first by the expanse of 'noisy' colours shouting at you.

I have centred the window in a square image to and added a small border. This helps to draw the eye through the window. The border effect left by the wooden panels adds interest and a different dimension to the shot.

Lovely shot. Very expressive. Birds in flight can be very tricky but you've nailed this one. Well done.

Lol, usually nothing less than a .45 and aim right between the eyes, but I've found a 12 bore generally does the trick

If by 'blown out' you mean the pink area at the bottom I've a feeling that its a natural refraction of light in violet wavelenths. You'll notice that there are also some green patches in the top right quadrant.

Gone into Replace Color, zoomed into pixel level to select the tones of pinks & violets to remove and replace with greyscale, but still leaving just a few of the lighter shades there. Did the same with the green at the top right. This is just quick fix for this file but would take some time on the full size image.

    Hope thats of some use.
