Coal Tit Touchdown

By harrattp
I was attempting to capture this Coal Tit as it landed on a branch near to a peanut feeder in my garden. I am about 4 feet away in my shed with a piece of camo netting hiding me, the camera, and the lens. Outside of the shed to my left was a SB900 flashangled upwards from about 1 foot below the branch.

In this case the bird had landed but the flash gave it a fright and it leapt up as you see. Actually I quite like it myself but what do you think??

Thanks for viewing, I would appreciate any constructive critique on how I could improve the image and any flash/camera settings that would enable me to actually capture the bird on landing.

Cheers
Paul

As I told you the other night, I love this shot so much. Coal Tits are renowned for being fast so to get it on landing absolutely superb and the detail is first class.
Time for the MossyOak Award mate

Thank you all again, yes Ann I know about locking up the mirror but as there is no camera shake present I don't know what that would achieve.
