Like the eye connection and choice of mono here. For me the left hand side is a little too dark and it might be worth a crop in from there to take this almost square and focus you more on his great face. (just a suggestion).

The composition is perfect as is with the inner eye in the right thirds of the frame. Love the effect of shooting through used here. Really happy to have seen this featured elsewhere as it is an excellent portrait. Superb focus, clarity and conversion to monochrome.
