Woodland Falls

Kennal Vale Woods is tucked away at the top a small valley just off the main road between Truro and Falmouth. From 1812 to the early 20th century, it was the site of a gunpowder works, supplying the local mines with explosives. Much remains of the old granite buildings and the mill workings. The River Kennal, provided for the mill. It still tumbles its way down over moss covered stones and an old weir to the valley below.
