Helmeted Guinea fowl

First of all many thanks for the appreciation of my last upload. The UA from rontear much appreciated particularly as I know he is experienced at photographing Jackals.

This bird was at !xaus lodge in the middle of the Kalahari - where it shouldn't be as it is not the right habitat. Arrived in a storm 2 years ago and they cared for it naming it Claude - till it laid an egg!
Now named Claudine she wanders under the tables and off in to kitchen, roosting on the end of the main building. Not the only interesting resident.

I took a photo of the same species of bird yesterday... the head was moving....Sad
