lovely image of a True British heroine.

Bodacea now betterly named as Boudicca was Queen of the Iceni tribe, the Celtic British tribe .
Her husband was a Roman Sympathiser / appeaser, but on his death, the Romans raped Boudiccas daughters & humiliated Boudicca herself.
.... not being the forgiving type, she gathered the tribes & laid ruin to many Roman towns..including London./
There is a level of charred earth called the "Boudicca line" in one area of London from where she burnt the townstead there to the ground.
The main Roman Army at the time was on its way to Anglesea to genocide the Druids there, and turned back to lay waste to Boudicca's force ..her body was never found.

Anyway.... as you can tell, I like this bit of history Smile
