Today is the first day of the last of my life ...

I will have more time for photography and more tales to tell. We'll be travelling a lot in our motorhome and I'll have no excuses for not getting up for those sunrise shots. I've saved a map marked with all the places we want to visit on Google Maps and starting this week, we'll be picking them off.
I've been to many countries but I've never been to Scotland so we are making a brief foray over the border at the end of October. We will be pottering up the east coast of England, picking off locations like Whitby, Staithes, Flamborough Head, Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne. Many of my favourite shots of these places are taken at sunrise, but it remains to be seen if I will get up and also if I'll get the weather conditions. With just over 2 months until the shortest day, sunrises don't come much later than in October, before the clocks change, so you can see I planned well. It's only a short trip this time due to family commitments, but I'm sure it will whet our appetites to return.
I've not put much up on ephotozine lately, but I hope to change that too, and it would be good to think I while away the dark evenings in the motorhome blogging the day's adventures. Perhaps I'll have an image to share as well. We shall see ...
