Christmas Wreath -2

By helenlinda
I have worked further with the image I uploaded yesterday. I've only just learned that I can save the image as layers and then return for further work on it later.
The new picture I've uploaded is v2.
I've then used this to make a more formal Christmas picture. I wonder what you think of it. Its fairly dark, but there is a glow
Thanks for looking and for recent clicks and comments. I really appreciate your encouragement and feedback

V1 is technically stunning. But I have to say that as a picture I prefer V2, for its warm, welcoming intimacy. It draws me in, whereas I stand back and admire V1.

The tones in V1 are very complimentary. Doesn't matter it's a bit dark as you don't want to look at the detail too much but just enjoy the colours. I might even have toned the red cross down a bit.
V2 has a great pseudo frame around it which helps to pull you towards the centre of the shot. Very well done.

Two wonderful images Helen, I especially like no. 2 with the busy hands and the wine glass as the stable center.

At first I preferred V1 but after looking at V2 changed my mind. V2 is much more interesting to study!
