Thanks to Joline first of all for her User Award for I love to Boogie which was much appreciated.
This dark and sinister object hovers over the local park - probably where the dancing aliens came from in the first place
I uploaded this in colour earlier, and have to thank Malc for his suggestion that I remove part of a circle to simplify the image. When I then converted to black and white I felt I wanted it as the lead image, so apologies to everyone who left clicks and comments on that earlier
v2 is the coloured version and v3 is straight from the camera
Thanks for looking
Helen

I like V1 and V2 for different reasons. The mono versions strength is the strong toning and the way that it concentrates the eye on the shapes. V2's strength is the classic contrast between blue and red and this is what makes this version the winner if I was forced to choose. Excellent work Helen.

V1 is dark, dangerous, it hints at what might lie just out of sight.
A creative transformation. I'm not sure that I would put it up together with V2, they're so different, they work differently on the brain.

Great work again Helen, version one for me today I just think the mono is bolder and suits the subject matter.

The mono has so much more impact than the colour. I'm glad you revisited this.

You have turned something very mundane straight from the camera into a very powerful well composed Image ~ at the time of writing this I prefer No. 1 when I return for another look it could well be No.2.

I would have been tempted to save the b&w version for its own upload, Helen. It is totally different from the colour one.Dark and menacing, in a way, whereas the colour version is inviting.

Well spotted Helen - great shadow. There is a bit of blown highlight on the basket/thing. Looks like the original is a little over exposed.
