Just posing

By helenlinda
For me this works best in mono, so I am leading with it. The key players in our building project are posing for the camera before the cutting of the ribbon.
I have produced a number of photos for printing, framing and hanging in the Nursery. I met with the Head Teacher today to look through them. Both of us prefer mono in the main. The reason they work better than colour for me is that I have taken them over quite a long period of time, and the light/weather conditions were so varied for each of them. Mono seems to hold them together as a group so much better than I ever imagined.
v2 is obviously colour and v3 was just for fun
Thanks for looking

That's the beauty of b&w. You look at the things that matter.
Well done to all concerned, not least you.

This is going to look great hanging on the wall in the nursery, Helen, mono works so well here. Carol

Mono for me as well; colour version has too many colour distractions - red trousers, red balloon, blue and white notice, all disappear in the b/w version. Agree with your (and others) choice.

Strangely, I looked at the mono then the colour and thought a bit of colour popping would make a very good compromise. Lo & behold v3... my winner.

I think the mono definitely has it for me, Helen!

Very good point about mono vs colour regarding changes in lighting conditions! I prefer the mono in this case - very well done conversion Smile I do really like V3 too, though Smile I probably prefer
