School camera club is providing me with some wonderful photo opportunities. Many thanks to Bill [woolybill1] for his User Award for That's it then - I'm not waiting any longer!!! Smile Smile and here is another from the same session. The task was to look for reflections in puddles, which is why I uploaded the table puddle yesterday. The group I was working with were not getting near enough for a good picture, so I encouraged them to stand over it together and although they were pleased with the result, they were off like a shot, so not much time to make adjustments with where feet were placed. However its the fingers on the cameras that I'm really pleased with plus the group working together
Thanks for looking.
Helen

I had a nother lovely surprise a few moments ago - just scrolling through my gallery and found a UA from Joline for Left out in the rain - many thanks Smile Smile

Wonderful shot Helen! I'm amazed they waited as long as they did for you! Working with children can be like herding cats, very nearly impossible! Wink
Superb reflections indeed. Those finger positions are marvellous!

Such an original idea - lucky students, to have someone with your imagination to inspire them. Love all the clicking fingers Smile.

excellent idea!
and I really like the contrast between the disordered position of the feet and the (almost) perfect symmetry of the reflections.
may I suggest to burn a bit the pair of shoes on the right?
just a thought

It certainly works, largely for the reasons you stated. This image also jumped off the thumbnail. I'd actually scanned the page and hit the button for the next page so had to go back one to open this. If you can stop someone in their tracks and make them reverse to look again you've succeeded. That's what advertisers look for - arresting images.

The water on this surface also makes it look like polished granite, like you are standing on a very expensive worktop. Good work.

This gets my UA.

I love the composition here, there's an almost abstract quality to this.
