Round the next corner.

By helenlinda
Well I've been following the news from Iraq. I'm not a political animal, but what is going on there is definitely not right. I wonder what lies round the next corner for the ethnic and religious minorities who have not already fled the country. They really do need our prayers at this difficult time, and so do any outside the situation who may try to intervene.
Thanks for looking

Wonderful image, Helen.

The world is more dangerous now than when we had the cold in my opinion.

Should have said, "the world is more dangerous now than when we had the cold war, in my opinion."

This is a wonderful abstract that is fascinating in both light and form. No corners, but light in the tunnel. Nice one Helen.

When I was a child during WW2 I used to wonder what would be talked about when peace came - now I know; conflict has never ceased. It just gets worse. Great image Helen.

I echo your prayers......if only we could ever all get along......why do people have to fight and try to eradicate anyone different than they are?????? Are the sane people in the minority in the world??????

A powerful image and message.

We live in a world where groups from all around the world interperet and misuse their particular dogma to abuse, disenfranchise and even kill those they perceive as 'other.' The dogma can be based on religion, ethnicity, geography, skin colour or simple tribalism. It is utterly obscene that people do this. I spent 30+ years actively involved in politics and I know that the differences between us are of little import, that we function best and achieve most when we concentrate on what we have in common, cooperate and work together for the common good.
