Safe as houses

By helenlinda
I started working with some little pottery houses in my wooden tray a couple of weeks back. I wanted to throw some stormy weather at them and set up a mouse over. However the effect was not at all what I wanted and I quickly deleted them and went back to the drawing board. This time I've used a different tool and put it together as one image. It is far from a simple picture, but reminds me of books that I read to my children with homes under the ground or in a tree for mice or rabbit families, and I can imagine myself telling stories from it to my grandchildren.
I have long since bothered about whether my pictures are to everyone's taste and I explore any and every idea that comes my way, but I hope some members can see the story-telling potential in it SmileSmile
Thanks for looking
Helen

Each element of the overall image is a tale in itself. I particularly appreciate the smiling face in LH top and RH bottom corners: delightful!

It's fascinating to examine this and distinguish reality from art. I'm glad you kept the little houses intact.
The artwork has a rather satisfying moulded, 3-D look.
This is so clever and original.

A wonderful montage of imaginative work.
Each piece could be uploaded on it's own.
Not an image to hurry over and definitely one to let one's imagination run riot.

DEFinitely lots of storytelling potential, Helen! I love that fellow with the shocked look and the long snooty nose SmileSmile He's at the bottom right of the bottom right square...and the top left of the top left square. He can be called Mr. Toppenbottom Grin

What a remarkable image...

I can see these as wonderfully marketable tiles for maybe a modern or quirky house. Beautiful. I'd buy them. Smile
