Singing the blues - a warm response

By helenlinda
Following on from yesterday's upload. Today we can see warm coloured figures responding to the dancer.
Its not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm pleased with the vibrant colours - just what I was looking for. SmileSmile

.................and now for the science

Red is the highest arc of the rainbow.

Red is the first colour you lose sight of at twilight.

The longest wavelength of light is red.

Bees can't see the colour red, but they can see all other bright colours. Red flowers are usually pollinated by birds, butterflies, bats, and wind, rather than bees.

Red increases enthusiasm

It stimulates energy and can increase the blood pressure, respiration, heartbeat, and pulse rate

Encourages action and confidence

In England, red phone booths and red double decker buses are national icons. Standard British pillar boxes (mail boxes) have been painted red since 1874.

Enjoy your weekend

Another really interesting image. So attractive.
And thanks again for the tip about bees not being able to see red. I'll think of that when restocking the garden. Smile

I see them attacking a tree in a forest.
Somehow, Monty Python singing I'm a lumberjack but I'm OK comes to mind... Wink

Wonderful image, surreal but with a base in reality - tree ritual springs to mind.

And don't forget red is the colour of the most successful teams (logistically proven).

Well, it's my cup of tea, Helen - or rather coffee, as I don't drink tea! More interesting reading, too, on my favourite colour Wink

This really is something. Forest spirits celebrating their realm.

There's something so beautifully "stained glass" about this, Helen.

Initially made me think of a maypole - no idea why. Now the more I look at it, I can see the blues theme. Really like this shot Helen, a lot of stuff to look at. Great piece of work. Moira
