I think I go along with V1, for the greater prominence given to that eye. But what really strikes me is the hint of blood dripping from the beak down the textures 'glass'. Scary.Moira

This looks like the wave filter - I love it, it seems to have an infinite number of possibilities. This one has stalactites and stalagmites - both fiery and icy! Keeping the eye untouched was the perfect decision.
