Something old, something new

By helenlinda
Thanks for clicks and comments on Something borrowed something blue..............
I seem to be working backwards with the song, as today I am uploading old and new taps and sinks.
I suppose this represents one of the many impacts of my work as an Inclusion leader through the years at school.
How?
Well children with physical difficulties cannot always turn taps, so we made changes to flick ones when a particular pupil came into school. The drawback of course is that the children leave the taps on. So at the other end of the school we changed them to ones that you press down on so that after a few seconds the water turns them off - draw back with that is if you press hard on them they drench everyone who is passing WinkWinkWinkWinkWinkWink
Whoever said school isn't fun GrinGrinGrinGrin
Thanks for looking
Helen

Some nice light coming through a window, Helen, highlighting the right places, well captured. Carol

Only you have the knack of turning everyday objects into something quite beautiful, a true indicator of not only creativity and imagination, bit a superb forethought and a clear understanding of how, and why....

Very good composition and write up Helen, agree about the push taps! Can never get it right and get soaked, you then have to leave the toilet with wet trousers.

Kindest regards

Trev.

Funnily enough I had the same problem when I was still working Helen.
An admission/assessment ward for the elderly (psychiatry) was above my treatment rooms. One old person in particular kept going into a dormitory and turning on taps and leaving them. Result was that the water ran down to my treatment rooms and soaked some vital pieces of medical equipment. I had to cause a real riot to have anything done about it. Had similar taps to yours fitted.
Some memories stirred up by your shot Grin. Moira
