Swirling Waves

Swirling Waves by N_Mair_Photography

Hey, that's an absolute cracker of a shot! I do think you could tidy it up a bit in Photoshop though. What I would do is ...

1. Remove blemish in sky near the lighthouse using the healing tool
2. Add a levels layer to clear the haziness
3. Increase the green/blue saturation a little to bring out the colour of the wave
4. And subjectively you could crop the image, possibly square?

Lovely colour, well captured

Very atmospheric. You've captured the water movement wonderfully and obviously made the effort for the right time of day, some lovely light.

Nice soft focus effect there and a very tranquil scene.

A well blanced composition and I like the way the seaweed leads the eye into the frame.

Thurlestone by colin63

Lovely effect, such an exquisite colour. Any kind of filter used or just low light?

I was thinking of doing this shot myself, a long exposure, but as I was taking the shot, late one night this summer, they turned the bloody lights off! You've caprtured motion very well for what is a very slow moving object! Great work.

Superb composition and exposure. I was here the other day, during the day and it just doesn't look the same. You've really captured the essence of this place.

I love the swirl pool effect in the water just left of centre and the exposure is fantastic. I find my eye drawn all over this image, it doesn't know where to rest. Great work.
