Me and Lion 1975

For those wondering what this is about, someone started a special upload of old photos of members as they were in the 1970's. I hope a tear sheet is going to be allowed here in the spirit of the 70's upload because I no longer have the original (the negative has faded too much). In 1975 I worked at a Safari park and looked after the lions. I put my camera on the gate, set it on the self timer and took this photo of myself giving a bottle of milk to a lion. I later sold it (the photo not the lion!) to the Sunday Express. My first published photo. It was nearly another 30 years before I got really interested in photography. It's interesting to note that my sartorial elegance has hardly changed in the time since.

Pete if there any prizes going, perhaps I could have one for the most stupid thing to do?

Now I love my Big Cats ... but not that much.

With regards to your photograph.. it gets my vote for sure.

Gets my vote..... I like the expression on the faces of the lions in the background.
Not sure if they think you are stupid for doing it or the lion is stupid for not having a go at your arm!!
Who was the health and safety risk assessor???

Have your ways changed Wink Great image.
I think if you carefully iron the back of the newsprint on low setting you can smooth it out.
