V.1 is amazing, Herman, is it edible? I love V.2, it always amazes me how these ferns exist. This one looks so healthy, and certainly lives up to its name Smile Carol

I had forgotten about the staghorn fern my grandmother had them and I never really took any notice of them just the name. A marvel and I am so glad to hear they are still going strong Vi is a novelty for me, what an amazing world and we learn so much here. Thanks Herman.
A wonderful colour V1. Well done Herman.

Yes Herman, awful weather predicted and us being on the edge do Africa will get the brunt of the rain and winds...we are off to Hermanus for the weekend ..the whale festival is on, at this rate we won't see them at all.

WOW...I took pictures of the same earlier this year but the colour was nothing like this!!! Mine was a pale-ish orange. And I didn't know this was a seed. Always thought it was a fruit or something. Super shot.

Lovely shot of the staghorn fern in V2 too. I love staghorns. Elkhorns too, which are the furry variety of this fern.
