For the past week our local florist has had a huge Bird of Paradise plant in a container outside her shop, it has at least ten fully opened blooms plus many others preparing to open,

This amazing plant is one of the best Ive ever seen, my task was to frame a single bloom, to appear to be growing wild in its homeland ofAfrica.

It was in broad daylight, but, in bright sun there is a very large and low sunblind that forces them to put the shop lights on. The plant is placed outide of the blind in the bright sun, so I was able to combine the two in one frame.....the sunlit flower together with the softened, lit, interior of the shop.

Inwoukd love to have the room and the money to own this spectacular plant.

It looks as if it could suddenly take off and fly away - excellent capture, colours and dof SmileSmile
