  • Swollen-thighed beetle

Quote:A gorgeous capture, the details are wonderful. I think I may have cropped off the yellow in the foreground, but that is just a personal opinion, and probably just me!! Smile
Hi Karen, thank you for your kind comment. I wanted to shoot through the foreground foliage to draw the eye immediately towards the beetle. Just trying something different on this occasion. However, I also think your suggestion of the cropping would also produce a pleasing final image. I'll go back to the drawing board and see what I achieve.

  • The Parasite.

Very moving image. From beauty to stripped naked. Man's ability to destroy all that we hold dear. I despair.

  • Soldier Beetle

Beautifully done. The isolation and simplicity of the dandelion is superb. Icing on the cake is the little red insect.

Great shot. I know how hard it is to nail the Puffins in flight but you have captured such lovely detail.

Beautiful shot. I've only ever seen one of these once and it truly is a beautiful design on this insect. Mother nature really can come up with the goods when it comes to design and colour.

  • Hi Matt, just admiring your pf. I especially like your ones of How Hill, Norfolk. I have stopped here when hiring a boat on the Broads on many occasions. There are a couple of images that I took back in August in my own PF of How Hill scenes. Your images are stunning and a pleasure to view.
Linda. PS. Thank you for voting recently on some of my everyday objects.
    Linda.
  • Thanks for giving me an award for my picture today. Just looked at your pf and you have some lovely images here. I especially like the Lighthouse - superb
    Linda.
  • Hi Amanda, just been browsing your pf what a beautiful set of images. I notice that you have the Canon 7D. My father recently purchased this and had problems with the focusing. Have you experienced this at all. Also, with such beautiful colouring on your shots do you use any filters at all with your landscapes? Its marvellous to look at what I call "proper photos" and your votes are well deserved. Once again a lovely pf to browse.
    Linda.
  • Really diverse pf here Keith. Such lovely images a real pleasure to view.

  • What a fantastic gallery you have and you seem to have the knack of being in the right place at the right time. Super set of images - one of the best landscape pf I have seen.
    Regards.

  • Just been browsing your pf. A great set of original fashion images, best I've seen in ages actually. Just one question, when you use your 5D Mark II do you use with a flash gun, (especially the splash ones). I've got a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon flash but hate flash photography I just can't seem to get it right even though I've read the manual.

Once again, great portfoilio and some beautiful models. Much more attractive than some of the explicit nude images we sometimes see. Wonderful.
    Linda.
  • Great portfolio here Len. Pleasure to view.

  • Dave you have got a stunning portfolio here. You are very clever with what you achieve with the torch images. Must take you forever to work it all out. Love your seascapes too. Excellent in all respects.
