Timeless Black place

By hrsimages
The rock scenery of Loch Coruisk in the heart of the Cuillin mountains, an uncompromisingly austere place surrounded by the 'Black Cuillin' so named after the dark and rough gabbro volcanic rock which these mountains are formed from. There is a timelessness to this place which I've tried to capture in this rendering of an image taken a few years ago.

Great mono GrinGrinGrinGrin

*A very nearly interesting fact - gabbro is actually pale in colour when freshly broken open - it turns blackish over a short period when exposed to air. Shown to me by a Cuillin guide, Paddy McGuire.
