My name is Michael Etheridge and I live in Nottingham, England.

My Portfolio is mainly a collection of 'Nottinghamshire Landscapes' with some surprises thrown in for good measure and my aim is to record the scenes, events, places and people for the future.

I am currently using a Kodak EasyShare C195 compact camera and I think that the results are pleasing to view and show just what can be achieved on a low budget, in association with an editing package such as Photoshop Elements.

Thank you for viewing my photographs and I hope you enjoy what you see.

Been a long time since I was in Nottingham. Spent a nice day in the forest one time. Very beautiful area.

As a Nottingham resident I find your portfolio very enjoyable. Keep up the good work.

Like you, I have been into photography for a long time. For years I was a diehard Exakta fsn but I am 100% digital now. It is not the equipment that makes the image, it is the photographer, as your imsges illustrate very well.

Thanks for looking into my portpollio. Yours is interesting. Thanks for your coment. Mine is also a compact camera
and I am quite happy to manage this one. My husband has to carry my bag while I am clicking away. I have been taking photos for for a while
but am in the small league compared to many of the other photographers. I really am enjoying what I am doing. Look forward to your future
After our visit to the UK so many of my shot will be coming from there, I am in Oz.
All the best for now JC…………..

Thank you for your kind comments.

I have used both medium format and SLR camera's in the past, but recently due to financial restraints I have bought a compact camera mainly for the size but also because you can easily carry it in your pocket. However, I do use Photoshop Elements to present my photographs, but I am still learning to use it to the best effect.

Michael. Well done with your recording, nice set of Photographs in your Pf. I too only have a Compact Camera. which was a Christmas present from
my kids, cost about Ł100, but one member on the site, who took me out with him one day, wrote a comment that the snaps I took that day where
better than those he had taken on his Ł3000+ outfit. So do not let your lack of a big camera get to you, get use to the one you have and you will
begin to get better photograph than those who keep swapping because they must have the latest model. Eric.
