Decay

By hwatt
This old boat shed at Blairs Loch has proved immensely fruitful over the years having been painted several times in alternating coats of red and blue. It is once again peeling away the years and even the ivy that climbs it's decaying flanks has died off and turned a crispy brown colour. I find these sorts of shot endlessly fascinating and this remains one of the best I have found and it happens to be more or less on my doorstep.

Pentax 67II, 90-180 zoom. f/22 at 4 Seconds, Fuji Velvia 50.

Beautiful colours and mixture of natural and the man-made decay.

Decaying it may be Ian, but there is life in it. The more I look the more I see...from the running potato man bottom right, to the mouse hole bottom left. A very interesting shot. Pam

I can see the mouse hole Pam, but a "running potato man" has beaten me I'm afraid. All I can see in the bottom right is a stumpy wizard in a pointy hat with a very short right arm. Smile
