Sunset Pine Stand Gollanfield

By hwatt
There is a small copse of Scots Pine in a farmers field which sits atop a grassy knoll and it is very photogenic and it just so happens that around the Summer Solstice the sun sets directly behind it. Throwing the shadows of the trees down the illuminated flank of the hill. It was then that a wee herd of cows decided to find out just why I was stood at the edge of the A96 between Nairn and Inverness and stopped to stare at me creating an extra dimension to the rural splendour of a very fine evening. My only complaint being a total lack of clouds.

Fuji GFX50S, GF100-200 zoom, 0.9ND Reverse Grad, f/11 around 1/125 second, ISO 100.

Lovely shadows indeed. I might have even had a version for this with the top third cropped off. Great capture.
