This is great it looks like it should be on the cover of a sci -fi novel about an intelligent race of intergalactic snails Smile

Ted III by Iain_C

Quote: Nicely done Iain......there are a lot of shots similar to this being posted at the moment....no bad thing! Its beautiful, although I do feel like I have trailed a blaze with the style..... Wink The crop, the light and the processing is very similar to a shot I posted not that long ago........which is why this caught my eye.....I love this. Really quite lovely indeed.......

Thanks John Smile

Quote: Beautiful woman, great compostion of 1/3rds. Excellent eye contact with complimentary single source of light for perfect skin tones. Happy to see its not airburshed to death. Leman

Thanks Leman, i like to keep smoothing to a minimum now as i'm no longer a fan of the super smooth doll look.

Great portrait set Johnny,
I've only tried the black bacground a couple times myself and always manage to mess it up and get a grey background instead.

Well done,

Portrait by Iain_C

Thanks Michael,

The Hi-Lite is a good bit of kit but i find it works better with two lights in it at a lowish setting otherwise you have to turn the power up quite high an it spills light back onto your subject.

I've uploaded a mod i'd say i hope you like it but yet again an image i've uploaded to this site has a massive red cast that wasn't visible prior to uploading to the site.

River Severn by ringyneck

River Severn

Hi I've uploaded a mod but unfortunately everything i upload to this site never looks the same on my browser as it does on my laptop.
I edited your image a bit in camera raw and photoshop darkening the sky and bringing back a some detail but after uploading it on here it looks terribly oversaturated, sorry bout that,

The Queen visits today by JackAllTog

The Queen visits today

I took it into Camera Raw 6.0 Stuart and dragged the black slider all the way to 100 to bring back the colour then if i remember rightly i had to increase the exposure slightly and used the new noise reduction slider in detail to smoot it out, then i took it into photoshop and selectivly burned down some areas that were showing reflection or still looked a bit washed out, also a bit of cloning on the Queens face and a crop.
Hope this helps
