Big difference from the original, nicely processed, maybe a little dodge & burn on the foreground rocks & pier will bring out some more detail

give it a try!

I spent a few hours on this using Camera Raw, Photomatrix, various Photoshop techniques and a blend of two differently processed images, in one of the images there was quite a bit of detail in the foreground but i removed it as it didn't look natural .

GOOD SHOT. Good sunset Image Ian, well captured and well processed . Nice view, brings it all back, the times I spent on the west coast of scotland, great view, great place.
