Mountain Hare

By ian.daisley
This was the first time I have been out looking for mountain hares, and I went to Bleaklow in the Peak District where I have seen them before. Very difficult to capture and quite tiring when lugging round a big lens and backpack for hours. I learnt a lot and will be back to try again when hopefully I will be able to get a little closer to them. This time of year they are losing their white winter coat but still look fabulous. This little fellow was nicely backlit by the early morning sun.

I suspect the thumbnail won't draw many in, but if you've got this far then thanks for looking.

Cheers, Ian.

A little bit more accessible on Alport Moor, Ian. No less hard to photograph mind Grin Well done.
