Black Eyed Bearded Reedling

By SteveMackay
This young male Bearded Reedling should have "Peach" coloured Irises (and Females a more "yellow" Iris)........so to see this "black" (OK it's more dark red/brownSmile) Iris coloured Male was quite a lucky find!
Not sure how rare this is? (i've seen a photo of a female bearded Reedling with a dark Iris, taken in Lancashire), but it's always great to see unusual thing's in nature.
Taken at Oare nature reserve (Faversham, Kent)
Photos of this same bird (taken by other photographers) can be found on Flickr, thanks for looking, cheersSmile

With a huge thanks to everyone for commenting on my last shot, with a special thanks to Mike, Karen, Tony, David, Alan and Sylvia for your much appreciated UA's!, cheers!SmileSmile
