You did the right thing including a few homes on the right. Composition is very good although you could crop some of the plain sky along the top down into the white cloud. Bamburgh Castle looks so strong and well designed. Seems to be in very good condition too. You presented this so well. A pleasure to muse over this rich monument to history. TG

Hi Toni

Thanks for the comment. Yes I wanted more of the buildings on the right but the lens wasn't wide enough at 18mm. I did crop the sky as you suggested during post processing but was torn between making it more letterbox and keeping the whisky clouds in the top right. In the end I kept the cloud lol. Thanks for your time and critique it's much appreciated.

Due to your image, I got into reading the 6th and 7th century history of the castle. Amazing background. What a rich place Bamburgh is. Also a place where you can get more fine Photographs in dawn and dusk light. Nothing even close to that here on Vancouver Island. Envy! TG

The Northumberland coast is amazing Toni. Dunstanburgh castle is a ruin but also amazing. Have a look at previous posts if you haven't seen them. Was on Vancouver Island quite some years ago and it's also a beautiful part of the world.

such a stunning landscape, spectacular detail and fantastic colours. SmileSmileSmileSmile
