Where are the Surfers?

Fistral Bay, Newquay in Cornwall, England. Said to be the centre of surfing in the UK but with a brisk north western blowing in there were no surfers to be seen. Maybe the wrong type of wave?
The white building is the old lifeboat house. The now disused slipway is on the other, more sheltered, side of the headland.
